大马路加油站开发成公寓的后劲确定大得多,然而clean up费用应该也很高。
A developer has lodged plans with Whitehorse Council for a three-storey building on the former Caltex site on Blackburn Rd. It would include 20 two-bedroom apartments and retail space for five businesses.
The site has been the subject of fierce interest from Blackburn Station Village traders, who have long campaigned for the property to be developed.
But it has also been the subject of environmental concerns for years because of its previous use.
It cost Caltex about $2.2 million to clean the site and help the neighbouring J&J Dynamotive with its own clean-up. |
