An illegal scheme would simply not get anywhere near as big as that normally. That is because Australians would normally never make any decision involving large sums of money without using their own family solicitor.
They would never trust a solicitor referred by the person selling the product. They would never trust a salesman selling units on the Gold Coast.
Australians are taught to suspect property developers and suspect real estate agents and to always run major financial decisions past their solicitor or accountant.
If this had been
notified to even 10 Australian accountants
I am 100% confident it would have been shut down at a very early stage.
