The Moto G4 Plus is a mid-range smartphone, but it wants to be the midrange smartphone that you buy. Motorola will sell both the 2GB RAM/16GB storage and 3GB RAM/32GB storage variants within Australia, at $399 and $449 price points respectively. It’s a 5.5-inch phone with a 1080p LCD display, black or white colourways, a ‘best in class’ 16-megapixel f/2.0 camera on the rear and a wide-angle 5-megapixel f/2.2 camera on the front, and everything runs on the efficient Qualco妹妹 Snapdragon 617 processor with a 3000mAh battery.
It’s also the first phone to be sold in Australia with 4G/3G dual-SIM support — this will become especially important at the end of this year and into 2017 as the three Aussie telcos switch off their 2G networks, rendering older dual-SIM phones useless.
