Reporting directly to The Financial Controller as the Assistant Accountant you will provide both analytical and financial support. Working in a small team you will play a pivotal role in providing timely and accurate financial data across all business units. More specifically you will be involved with the following:
• Preparing monthly accounts for a number of entities – Profit & Loss and Balance Sheets
• Reviewing and preparing General Ledger reconciliations
• Preparation of daily cash-flow forecasts
• Preparation of BAS statements
• Customer invoicing
• Assist in the planning & preparation of company budgets/forecasts
• Internal staff payroll
• External contractors payroll
• Other ad-hoc accounting projects
I think BAS is Business Activity Statement.
It is a report about the tax liability you owe or ATO owe you.
It includes GST, PAYG, FBT, WET and LCT.
It could be reported monthly, quarterly and annually.
