What Do Mining Engineers Get Paid?
The 2006 survey of final year students in the Mining Engineering program at UNSW found the median starting package was $99,713 with the cash component varying between $55k and $98k.
This is backed up by national surveys conducted by Graduate Careers Australia that has found Mining Engineering graduates are amongst the highest paid professionals.
