Can I get reimbersement for Hospital Fee?

My kid will have a surgery for about $2500. Can I get some money back from somewhere? Do I need to register in Centrelink?

Did you go to private hospital? Do you have private insurance?
If not, you can only claim part of the doctor fee to Medicare, but not hospital charge.
You can also have some money back via tax return, the current rate is 20cents for every dollar over $2000.
Centerlink has nothing to do with medical expenses.
