Eligibility
You may be eligible for a payment under the Household Assistance Package if you are:
receiving a pension or other income support payment
receiving Family Tax Benefit Part A, Family Tax Benefit Part B, or Parenting Payment
a Co妹妹onwealth Seniors Health Card holder or a DVA Gold and White Card holder who receives the Seniors Supplement
covered by a Co妹妹onwealth concession card and have high energy costs associated with using essential medical equipment at home
caring for someone who has high energy costs associated with using essential medical equipment at home and either you or the person you are caring for is covered by a Co妹妹onwealth concession card, and/or
a low income household and do not receive adequate assistance through other means, as per the Government’s income test.
Payments
Initial payment - Clean Energy Advance
Family Tax Benefit Part A recipients will receive up to $十一0 for each child.
Family Tax Benefit Part B recipients will receive up to $69 per family.
Single pensioners will receive up to $250.
Pensioner couples will receive up to $190 per eligible member.
An initial, tax-exempt payment will be paid as a lump sum to pensioners, other income support recipients, families receiving Family Tax Benefit payments, and Seniors Supplement recipients, providing they meet eligibility requirements. This will be paid in May or June 20十二, before the carbon price comes into effect.
Family Tax Benefit customers from 16-29 May 20十二
pensioners from 28 May – 8 June 20十二
other income support recipients from 十一 – 22 June 20十二
Seniors Supplement customers on 25 June 20十二.
