Global Wrap - We Call The S&P/ASX 200 Down 17
The US markets closed lower as investors mulled higher homes sales, a weaker greenback, and stronger oil price.
The Dow Jones finished lower by almost 十二 points or 0.1 per cent. The S&P 500 index fell by 0.2 per cent and the
Nasdaq lost 15 points or 0.3 per cent.
EuroSTOXX eased from multi-year highs down 27.3 points or 0.73 per cent, as the euro lifted against the greenback,
dampening prospects for exporters. Also investors remain nervous about the financial situation in Greece. The
FTSEurofirst 300 fell by 0.7 per cent.
Asian markets mostly rose following rallies on Wall Street and in Europe,Tokyo ended 0.99 per cent higher, adding
194.14 points, to 19,754.36 while Hong Kong added 0.6 per cent and Shanghai surged 1.03 per cent, marking a
ninth straight gain.
The Euro rose from lows against the US and the Japanese yen strengthened from ¥十二0.15 per US dollar to ¥十一9.73 |
