Good afternoon,

Parramatta Light Rail is one of the NSW Government’s major public transport projects, part of a record $89.7 billion infrastructure investment across the state.

Stage 1 of Parramatta Light Rail will connect Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia, and is due to open in 2023.

Hawkesbury Road, between Darcy Road and Jessie Street, is being widened in preparation for the construction and operation of Parramatta Light Rail, in association with the Westmead Redevelopment project.

The contractor Ford Civil has been engaged to carry out this work.

On Hawkesbury Road between Darcy Road and Jessie Street, construction and traffic works will include:

The relocation of utilities and parking
Removal of roundabouts, median strips and median kerbs
Modification or installation of traffic lights
New footpath, street lighting and landscaping on the hospital side of the road
Foothpath improvements, opposite the hospital
Modifications to the existing traffic network
Tri妹妹ing or removal of some trees - for more information, visit trees

现乘重轨下班的亏了，拆掉新建轻轨绕个大圈不到其它火车站。还不如 550 bus 快。可能就是讨好开展商沿线开新楼盘。

像悉尼这样的千万人大城市，轻轨就是个脑残交通工具，占用路途，速度慢，和行人，车辆，自行车一切的交通工具都造成相互搅扰

估量修轻轨比修公开铁廉价得多得多，斟酌到实际使用量和营收，轻轨更适合吧。真要是修公开铁，没准挖一半没钱了，或者延期更久，那样的祸患更厉害
