移民资料和之前投亲签证如有不符，会被查出来吗？

筹备给婆婆请求移民了，才忽然发现一个很重大的问题。老公的爸爸早年逝世，婆婆再婚了，有3个step children，但再婚时他们都是已成人了。早些时分请求投亲签证的时分，再婚和这些step children的信息都照实填写的。当初要请求移民的话，这些step children会算作children吗？假如算的话，要过子女比例测试，莫非只要靠离婚？或者这次填表，隐去这些信息，会被查到吗？

The following children are counted in the BoF test:

reunited with their parents in another country.
Note: A person will have had exclusive custody of the child if that person had:
